FileMaker Family: Comparison Chart

FileMaker Family: Comparison Chart: http://www.filemaker.com/products/fm_comparison.html

We are trying to determine the best solution for our purchase order needs in the school district. We currently use a customized FileMaker Pro Database (made using Filemaker Pro 3.0). We have mixed databases and clients and we need to move up to at least 5.0 because the Windows 2003 server cannot handle the 3.0 - 4.0 versions without crashing. Most of our client computer user's needs do not include the full install of FileMaker Pro, so we are hoping that we can create a solution that will allow us to make a mini-program where the information can be updated and posted onto the server. We do not currently have a WAN, so the server solution will not be necessary yet. Based on this link, I am going to purchase a 5-pack of File Maker Pro 6.0 for current users and File Maker Pro Developer 7.0.

Apple - Remote Desktop - Upgrade

This is the link that gives a comparison between Apple Remote Desktop 1.2 and 2.0. All computers that you want to command with 2.0 must have 2.0 client software package installed. The new software only sees OS X machines.
