MacDevCenter.com: LDAP in Mac OS X Server

MacDevCenter.com: LDAP in Mac OS X Server

This is a good article about setting up LDAP on Mac OS X.3 Server for open directory. This might be something to look at later. There are a few other links that look good to like:

More LDAP in Mac OS X Server - http://www.macdevcenter.com/pub/a/mac/2004/06/18/ldap.html

Open Directory Page from Apple - http://www.apple.com/support/macosxserver/opendirectory/

We got the mail server up and running, but we can not change the password back to the LDAP server. This still needs to be finished.

LDAP Directory Located on a Panther Server – Mail Server
- Needs to have subtree search
- Search Base would be formatted as follows: Dc=haddon,dc=k12,dc=nj,dc=us
- If record that you search from comes back has just 99, that is because there are no fields that LDAP can see right away
- SoYou have to change the fields in the LDAP directory
- In Open Directory, change the user record and change the field
- Dave Case will have to find the information

Dave Case talked about this at Haddon Township School District's Apple Seminar on August 18, 2004
